Quink ink is a great medium to use, especially if you like monochromatic pieces. The colours seperate when ink spreads into water, giving subtle hues and interesting effects. Using pens you can harness these patterns to create delicate designs.

The artist Carne Griffiths takes this technique further and uses coloured inks and tea! Whatever you’re using let the serendipity happen and enjoy the process.
